Haltung is hot — CSD Berlin 2026

We joined Berlin Pride under this year's motto, wearing our new logo for the first time — and we carry with us the grief for the loss our community suffered that night.

On 25 July 2026, Berlin celebrated Christopher Street Day under a motto that could not be more fitting for this city: "Haltung is hot" — attitude, stance, standing for something.

What began as a celebration ended in grief. That night, an attack struck the very community that had spent the day celebrating love, diversity and the freedom to be. Our first words belong there: to the person who did not come home, to the injured, to their families and friends. We mourn with our community. Berlin mourns with you.

We had chosen this CSD for something joyful: the first public appearance of our new logo, on shirts made for the BERLINRODEO team and our collaborators. Walking through the city we have helped shape for twenty years — together, visible, in colour — felt like the right way to show who we are. Not as a campaign. As Haltung.

Because for us, this is not a topic we visit once a year. Berlin's openness is part of this studio's identity. The diversity of this city is in our projects, in our team, in our [LAB] in Charlottenburg, in every space we design. Spaces are never neutral: they either welcome people or they don't. We have spent two decades building the kind that welcome.

That is why we raise our voice now, quietly but clearly. Pride began as a protest, and this year Berlin was reminded why it still is one. We stand with the community — on that day, on the night that followed, and on every ordinary day after. No darkness will take this fight in vain.

Berlin changed. So did we. What has not changed, in twenty years, is where we stand.
