Twenty years, one evening — 20 Years of BERLINRODEO at DesignDays.Berlin

A night in five moments: how our Berlin interior design studio celebrated twenty years at DesignDays.Berlin — with the partners who built the evening with us.

01

A welcome at the door

The evening began the way we wanted every guest to feel it: walking in over the red carpet from Object Carpet, among a team dressed for the occasion in elegant tuxedos by XUITS. A celebration twenty years in the making deserved a proper entrance.

As the night settled in, the mood turned to photographs, celebration and good company. Our closest friends were there — and we wanted to give them a proper toast to open the first day of DesignDays.Berlin.

02

The window and the pop-up

At the heart of the studio, the window installation and pop-up took shape around the Mirro and Flyra lamps by Wever & Ducré — together with a lamp reworked by Atau & Toni Prediger. Light did what it always does in our work: it set the mood before anyone said a word.

Guests gathered around it through the evening — a quiet centrepiece that kept drawing people in, and a reminder of how much a single, well-placed light can shape a room.

03

Five chairs, five Berlin personalities

The centrepiece: five vintage chairs from the former East, each brought back to life by hand — every seam, every frame — by Liedtke. Gastón y Daniela and Dedar sent their finest textiles to shape the universe of each piece, Ferreira de Sá closed the composition with rugs from Portugal, and WÄSTBERG lit them so each personality could be read. “Berlin changed, so did we” — five objects making the case for the transformative potential of what already exists.

04

A toast that lasted all night

The toasts kept going thanks to Champagne Collet, who felt like part of the family by the end of the night, and Molekühl, whose bar brightened the evening with custom drinks. Vöslauer kept everyone refreshed, as it does at every one of our events.

There's a particular kind of joy in raising a glass with the people who have shaped twenty years of your work. Glasses clinked, old stories resurfaced, new plans took shape — and for a few hours the studio felt less like a workplace and more like a home full of the people who made it.

05

The people who showed up

In the end, the night was the room full of people: clients, neighbours, friends, companions from the very beginning and faces we met for the first time — all celebrating within the opening of DesignDays.Berlin, alongside H.O.M.E. Magazine and On Time PR, who brought the press to our door, and Sound Brothers, always there elevating the night. Thank you for coming, for the conversations, for staying late — for celebrating twenty years with us as if they were yours too.
