The ceramic series was first developed in the studio workshop in 2019. It was the result of working with and experimenting with crude manganese clay. The surface structure is inspired by layered stone walls and is partly created consciously, partly by chance. Space is given to chance so that no object is the same as the other. The combination of the almost black burnt stoneware clay with the surface structure gives the vases and planters a particularly stone character. It was important to make the special character of the material visible and to focus on the material itself and not to hide it under glazes.
